Growing up in the 1970s and 80s, the holidays for my family included a spectacular array of hand-crafted goods like fresh baked cookies or fruit breads (made from scratch by my mum) and matching pajama sets (lovingly sewn by my Canadian nana). In addition, my American grandmother had a passion for creating works of art with her crocheting and macrame skills, while both of my grandfathers enjoyed tinkering in their woodshops.

Needless to say, I was introduced (at an early age) to all of the fun that goes into dreaming up new concepts each year and the excitement of sharing our wares with neighbors and friends. To this day, there’s just something so warm and wonderful about a gift that was developed by an artisan whose goal is to simply spread joy.

Well, the elves at Urban Solace wanted to recreate the magic of thoughtfully-crafted items designed to promote mindfulness, support your self-care routine, and even bring a little holiday cheer to your home.
